Eat Drink Nights Lands In Kirrawee
Kirrawee is getting its first-ever night market, with Eat Drink Nights taking over Biddy Giles Park on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Kicking off its 2026 season in the Shire, the two-night event will bring together up to 40 vendors serving everything from street food favourites and sweet treats to drinks from local distillers. Add live music and free kids’ entertainment, and your spring night plans are sorted.

New Opening Alert: NOA
Cronulla’s dining scene is getting a major new addition, with NOA taking over the former The Pines venue. From acclaimed chef Nelly Robinson, the oceanfront restaurant will pair a Tulum-inspired fit-out with a seasonal à la carte menu and elevated dining experience. The Shire Travel and Cruise Expo is returning on Saturday 19th September from 10:00am to 3:00pm at Gymea Tradies, bringing more than 35 travel and cruise partners together under one roof. A Feel-Good Run Is Coming To The Shire
Shire runners, your next challenge just landed. The Beachside Dash is back on Sunday 13th September from 6:30am to 11:30am, all in support of medical research at St George and Sutherland Hospitals. The schedule includes a Half Marathon course taking runners from Dolls Point into the Sutherland Shire, alongside 10km, 5km and 2km routes for runners and walkers of all levels. Beyond the running, expect a relaxed festival atmosphere with entertainment, coffee, recovery zones, food and free kids’ activities. Lace up and get involved in a day that gives back.
Cronulla’s After-Dark Scene Is Changing
ICYMI, Cronulla’s night-time scene is about to look a little different. From Friday 4th September, the suburb will become NSW’s first beachside Special Entertainment Precinct as part of a 12-month trial led by Sutherland Shire Council. What does that mean for locals? Later trading for venues and more opportunities for live music, dining and entertainment. Indoor venues will be able to trade until midnight on weekdays and as late as 2:00am on Saturday and Sunday mornings, while outdoor areas can stay open until 11:00pm. Consider this your sign to rally the crew and make a night of it.
