What’s On In The Shire This March
A new season brings new activities
Summer Salt, Cronulla
Autumn has officially arrived, and contrary to popular opinion, it's one of our favourite seasons. The sweltering summer temps give way to cooler breezes, the leaves change colour, there’s fewer crowds, incredibly clear water, and evening events start earlier – all positives in our book.
Despite the seasonal transition, there's no shortage of things to do this March in the Shire. Discover all that’s happening below!
What’s On In The Shire This March
Live Music And Kids Eat Free Sundays At Fior
March just got tastier in Gymea. Fior is turning up the vibes with Live Music Saturdays kicking off from March 7th, bringing some of your favourite local artists in-house to soundtrack your dinner plans. Good food, good wine, and something to watch while you dine? We’re in.
And if Sundays are more your speed, here’s one for the families: Kids Eat Free all day Sunday. For every main meal over $30, little ones (12 and under) score a free kids’ main. An easy excuse to skip the cooking and settle in for a long, relaxed lunch.
Stroll Through Cronulla’s Easter Market
We can't believe it's time to talk about Easter already, but egg-citement builds when we know the Cambridge Easter Markets are coming to town. Easter time is synonymous with consuming our body weight in chocolate eggs, enjoying a long weekend, and perusing the Easter markets. Scheduled from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, March 28th and Sunday the 29th, at Don Lucas Reserve, Cronulla, this two-day market showcases brilliant small retailers, an array of cuisines, local homewares, crafts, toys for the kiddies, and so much more!
Light Up Gunnamatta Park At The Water
Lantern Festival
Gunnamatta Park is lighting up for the Water Lantern Festival. Think food trucks, live music, and the chance to release your own eco-friendly lantern as the sun sets on Saturday, March 7th at 4:30pm. Decorate your lantern, assemble it, and light it up when the time comes. It’s a family-friendly event, so bring your crew and get ready for a relaxed Saturday arvo in Cronulla, with good vibes and a focus on keeping things green.
Indulge At Fred's Caviar Night
If you’re in the mood to switch up your usual midweek plans, this one’s a little special. Fred’s Providore is hosting a one-night-only Caviar Night: Bumps & Bites on Wednesday, 25th March, and it’s limited to just 26 guests. Across the evening, caviar expert Lisa Downs will guide guests through four exceptional caviars, explored side by side, paired with custom bites created exclusively for the night. Think texture, origin, tasting technique — all in an intimate, relaxed setting with French sparkling shared between two. Refined, indulgent, and a little different from your usual dinner out. Tickets are limited, so if this sounds like your kind of night, you’ll want to be quick.
Mark Your Calendar For Cronulla's New Tequila Bar And Pizzeria
If you're a fellow margy lover, this one's for you. Retro Cronulla is taking over the old Opah spot with a tequila bar and pizzeria set to open this month. Expect Neapolitan-style pizzas, fresh pastas, and delicious shared dishes, all crafted by an ex-Chiswick chef. Plus, with over 100 tequila varieties to choose from, you’ll have plenty to work your way through. Add this one to your hit list — this new spot’s about to make waves in the Shire.
Margarita Month Has Landed At Summer Salt
Margarita lovers, this one’s for you. All March long, Summer Salt is joining in on Margarita Month with $16 Margaritas to kick off your long lunches by the water. Enjoy a curated lineup featuring everything from signature serves to seasonal specials and exclusive variations. Whether you prefer a bright, citrusy classic or something frozen and refreshing, there's a Margarita with your name on it.
Shop Florals And Gifting At The Shire’s Chic New Florist
There’s a gorgeous new florist in Caringbah bringing artistry to everyday blooms. El’botanical Bloom Bar, created by local floral talent Elly, has officially opened on Mansfield Avenue, and it’s already turning heads. From ready-to-go bouquets and custom arrangements to thoughtful home décor pieces, it’s the kind of place you pop into for a gift and leave with something for yourself, too. Add a visit here to your March to-do list and find them at 28 Mansfield Avenue, Caringbah.
Start Your Sunday Right With The LSKD x Blackwood Run Club
Blackwood Cronulla has teamed up with LSKD for a weekly Sunday community run, kicking off every Sunday at 6:30am. Choose between a 5km run or a 2.5km walk, with all levels welcome. The best part? Post-run hangs at Blackwood, with 20% off coffees, $15 takeaway spicy bacon and egg rolls, and 10% off other meals for Run Club members. Equal parts sweat and social.
Sip And Chill At Next Door’s Sunday Sessions
Here for a good time, not a long time, if you’re yet to experience a Sunday sesh at Next Door, consider this your sign. All happening every Sunday from 3:30pm to 6:30pm, live music sets the tone, and $8 beers, $10 wines, and $15 select cocktails are the icing on the cake. No bookings required – just roll up, grab a drink, and enjoy the epic vibes by the water. If you ask us, it’s the perfect way to close out your weekend.
Explore Menai Foodie Markets
If your Friday plans involve good food (as they should), the Menai Foodie Markets are on March 13th from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. With over 40 stalls to wander through, you’ll find everything from fresh and organic produce to plenty of tasty bites worth lining up for. The perfect excuse to shop local, grab dinner, and make a night of it.
Refresh Your Workout Wardrobe At The New Rockwear Miranda Store

Whether you’re heading to Pilates, the gym, or just running errands in comfort, consider your next activewear refresh sorted. And their latest drop? Definitely worth popping in for.
From London To Woolooware: Wander Has Arrived
Wander has officially opened its doors on Wills Road in Woolooware. Created by Australian chef-owner Alexis Noble, the restaurant spent seven years in Stoke Newington, London, before making the move back home. Now, its globally inspired menu has landed in the Shire. Consider your next dinner date sorted.
Explore The Shire’s Dog Friendly Beaches And Parks
If there’s one thing all dog parents can agree on, it’s that dogs are basically children — just with fur, four legs, questionable manners, and even worse breath. And like any child, they need socialisation, exercise, and play. Luckily, the Shire is home to some of Sydney’s best dog parks and with autumn’s crisp, refreshing weather, there’s no better time to explore them. From coastline to bush, make the most of the season and check out our top 8 here.
