Calling all home cooks, pasta pros, and nonnas-in-training — this one’s for you

Joe Natale from the Natale Group has just launched a brand new competition — and he’s bringing Aldo Ortado from Master Chef along for the ride. Dubbed The Shire’s Next Master Chef, the challenge invites local food lovers to step out of their kitchens and into the limelight — sharing the dish they’re most proud of (you know, the one that wins over mums, dates, and dinner guests every time).

"We want to showcase that one dish you cook at home for your boyfriend, girlfriend, mum, dad, family," Joe told us. “And we want to see it plated up here, alongside our professional team, every Thursday.”

So, what’s on the table?

The winner of the six-week competition will score a $1,000 Natale Group gift voucher, and — get this — their dish will be featured on Giro’s menu throughout December. Bragging rights? Tick.

And Joe said "You can cook whatever you like”.

“Entree, pasta, main, dessert — so long as it ties into our Italian roots here at Giro. We’re here to celebrate nearly 12 and a half years in the Shire and reconnect with our community. This is our way of saying thank you.”

How it works:

Step 1 – Head here to register

Step 2 – Submit a photo and description of your signature dish

Step 3 – Joe will handpick the top 6 finalists

Step 4 – Each finalist will cook their dish live on a Thursday night at Giro

Step 5 – After six weeks, Joe and Aldo from MasterChef will crown the winner

“You get to bring your friends, cook in a real commercial kitchen, and live out your foodie dreams,” Joe added. “Let’s get those entries in. Shire locals are passionate cooks, and I know we’re going to be flooded.”

You've got 14 days to enter — so fire up the stove, snap that photo, and showcase what you’ve got.
