If you like tacos, tequila and ocean views, you’ll want to make some room in your schedule. International Margarita Day is here and Northies are celebrating this marvellously-delicious drink with a week-long fiesta from Monday the 22nd of February to Sunday the 28th.
Margaritas remind us of summer vacays and days drinking cocktails by the beach. Although Mexico may be off the cards, this delicious refreshment is guaranteed to transport you to your dream tropical destination. Not only does it embody good times, but it’s the perfect excuse to gather the gang on a hot day.
Far from just tequila, triple sec, lime and a salt rim, Margaritas come in a rainbow of colours and flavours and we’re loving Northies out-of-the-box creations. Northies is serving up margies galore with six different flavours to sip (or slurp) your way through. Whether you want to celebrate with a classic margarita, a mango-chilli infusion or stay cool with a Watermelon Cucumber, there’s ample to choose from.

Passion Fruit - El Jimador Tequila, passoa, passion fruit, lime Juice
Watermelon Cucumber - El jimador Tequila, elderflower liqueur, fresh watermelon, cucumber syrup, lime Juice
Mango-Chilli - Chilli El Jimador Tequila, cointreau, mango juice, lime juice, mango puree
Strawberry - El Jimador Tequila, strawberry vok, strawberry puree, lime juice
Coconut - El Jimador Tequila, malibu, lime juice, coconut syrup
Tommy’s Margarita - Double El Jimador Tequila, lime juice, agave

Margaritas and tacos go hand in hand so of course there’s an accompanying taco menu to munch your way through. After all, no one wants tequila on an empty stomach.
There are six taco flavours to choose from and naturally, you’ll also find guac on the menu.
Fish Taco- crumbed fish, adobo mayo, ezme, iceberg
Grilled Chicken Taco- achiote chicken, crunchy slaw, guacamole, coriander, jalapeno
Braised Beef Brisket Taco - slaw, lime crema, chimichurri, coriander, jalapeno
Popcorn Prawn Taco - iceberg lettuce, pickled carrot, tomatillo salsa verde, coriander
Fried Cauliflower Taco - toum, tomato salsa, pickles (vegan)
Lamb Taco - crunchy slaw, salsa verde, tomato, avocado
