A new chapter for Sydney’s marine scene has officially begun.
Marina Bayside, the all-new $20 million purpose-built facility at Taren Point, has opened its doors, and it’s already being hailed as Sydney’s newest and most advanced marine destination. Designed with both lifestyle and functionality in mind, the 10,000 m² site houses up to 160 vessels (up to 40 feet) and offers undercover drystack storage, a travel lift, repair and refit services, and direct water access.
As the only undercover dry boat storage in the region with direct water access, Marina Bayside brings a genuine walk-on, walk-off experience to Sydney’s boating community. It’s as simple as booking via the app — just select a collection time, and your vessel will be waiting in the water when you arrive. The facility also operates 24/7 with secure access, making it easier than ever for boat owners to enjoy time on the water without the hassle of ramps or trailers.
To mark the occasion, the team behind Marina Bayside will host the inaugural Southern Sydney Marine Expo on Saturday, 8th November, transforming the marina into a full-scale celebration.
Set to run from 10:00am to 4:00pm, the free community event promises a full day of entertainment, education and discovery. Visitors can expect live music from Voli K Music, free face painting, and mini putt putt golf, alongside $10,000 worth of brand giveaways, including the major prize of a Cayman Inflatable Boat valued at $3,500.
A line-up of local and industry vendors will also be on deck, including Dolce Bacio Gelato, Foodie Lads Fish & Chips, Elite Burger, Greek Street Food Truck, Grind N Press Coffee, and local breweries and distilleries, ensuring there’s no shortage of food and drink options to enjoy throughout the day.
