Eat Your Way Around The World At Engadine’s Eat Drink Nights

Eat Drink Nights are returning to Engadine Town Square on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Bringing together over 40 street eats from around the world, follow your appetite through favourites like AMI’s woodfired pizzas, Ola Lola’s paella and empanadas, Damaskos’ charcoal souvlaki and Baked Collective’s NYC cookies. Between bites, stick around for live music, with giant bubbles and free face painting keeping the little ones happily occupied. Entry is free, which means the hardest decision might just be what to eat first.

Catch Four Days Of Kids’ Shows At Sutherland Pavilion

Looking for school holiday plans? Play! Kids Festival is returning to Sutherland Pavilion from Wednesday 30th September to Saturday 3rd October, bringing four days of live shows, creative workshops and hands-on fun. This year’s line-up includes international favourite Mario the Maker Magician, Sydney Fringe award-winner The Bubble Show in Space and comedy duo The Listies. Little ones can also see the much-loved children’s classic Where is the Green Sheep? brought to life on stage. With four days to choose from, there’s plenty here to fill a gap in the school holiday calendar.

Welcome Daylight Savings At Bobbys

Bobbys is celebrating the arrival of daylight savings with New Horizons on Sunday 4th October, bringing DJs Tass and Crojak to the waterfront for an afternoon of music. From 1:00pm to 9:00pm, settle in for eight hours of tunes, with plenty of time to order a few plates for the table, grab a drink and enjoy the long weekend energy by the water.

Road Trip To Berry For A Weekend Of Live Music

We’re crossing the Shire border for this one, and for good reason. Folk’s Extend the Weekend series is taking over venues across town from Thursday 29th October to Sunday 1st November, bringing together live music, local experiences and the perfect excuse for a weekend escape. Spend A Sunday Wandering Gymea Village Festival

One of the Shire’s biggest street festivals is back, with Gymea Village Festival taking over Gymea Bay Road on Sunday 25th October. From 9:00am to 4:00pm, more than 200 stalls will bring gourmet street food, artisan goods, fashion, homewares, skincare and plenty more to the heart of Gymea. Beyond the stalls, expect live music and entertainment throughout the day, plus rides and activities for the kids. Entry is free, so arrive hungry, wear your walking shoes and make a day of it.

Get A First Look Inside The Newly Renovated Doltone House

Doltone House Sylvania Waters has had a refresh, and locals are getting a first look inside. On Wednesday 21st October, the venue is opening its doors so you can explore its newly renovated gardens and seven event spaces, with the chance to sample their award-winning catering along the way. From birthdays and celebrations to community, sporting and business events, Doltone House has spaces to suit every event, from intimate gatherings to events of up to 600 guests. Running from 11:30am to 6:30pm, entry is free, but registration is essential. Secure your spot here.

Birdcage’s Annual Bottomless Banquet Is Back

Birdcage Miranda is bringing back its annual Bottomless Banquet on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th October, and $70pp gets you plenty to work your way through. From 5:00pm, settle in for a six-course feast featuring Chicken Karaage, Pulled Beef Bao Buns, Beef Ragu Pappardelle and more, alongside 90 minutes of free-flowing Mimosas, Prosecco, wine and Rosé. Golden hour drinks are calling at Next Door. Every Friday and Saturday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, happy hour comes in the form of Sundowners, with $8 beers, $10 wines and $15 cocktails. Celebrate Oktoberfest By The Coast At Cronulla RSL

A little taste of Germany is coming to Cronulla, with Oktoberfest taking over the Deck at Cronulla RSL from Friday 25th September to Monday 5th October. $20 Festbier steins for members are on the menu, alongside giveaways and plenty of time to raise a glass with your mates over the long weekend. No passport required, just a proper stein and a Prost from the coast.

Lace Up For The Return Of Parc’s Run Club

Wednesday night runs are back on the agenda, with Parc Pavilion’s Run Club returning from Wednesday 7th October at 6:00pm. Starting from Parc Café, choose between a 3km or 5km route, with both distances open to runners of all abilities. The real motivation to make it to the finish line? Everyone who joins the run scores 25% off food and drinks at Parc afterwards. Lace up, fire up Strava and earn that post-run feed.

Nothing says spring like an afternoon rosé at Cronulla Sailing Club, which is finally reopening for the season on October 9th! What has to be one of Cronulla’s most scenic sunset spots, their doors swing open at 4:00pm every Friday during daylight savings with drinks, good vibes and live music on the agenda. And if a twilight sail sounds tempting (who could resist?), be at the dock by 6:00pm sharp.

Sip Your Way Through The French Countryside At Duke’s Providore

Wine lovers, this one’s worth clearing the calendar for. Duke’s Providore is opening nine exceptional French wines for its Sommelier’s Night on Thursday 29th October from 6:00pm, including Premier Cru and Grand Cru bottles you’d rarely find poured by the glass. Across four rounds, you’ll taste your way through some of France’s best-known wine regions, comparing each pour side-by-side with four dishes served along the way. The catch? There are only 30 seats at the table, so this is one you’ll want to get in early for.

Celebrate Halloween At Social House

Still deciding where to spend Halloween? Social House has plans for Saturday 31st October, with a Halloween Piano Party kicking off from 8:00pm. Live pianos will take you through to 11:00pm before a DJ takes over for the rest of the night, with free jelly shots from 10:00pm and a $100 bar tab going to the best dressed. If there was ever a night to go all in on the costume, this is it.

Long lunches have a new address, with bottomless now on the menu at Hazel from 11:00am, Friday to Sunday. For $95pp, settle in for 90 minutes of shared plates including Tuna Tartare, Fried Gnocchi and Stracciatella, alongside free-flowing sparkling, wine, beer and mimosas. Cocktail and curated wine upgrades are also available if that’s more your speed. With sunny afternoons here to stay, it’s a pretty good excuse to clear the afternoon calendar.

The Spring Club is running from Tuesday 6th October to Sunday 15th November, serving fresh oysters for $3 each alongside Taittinger Champagne for $99 a bottle. Make A Day Of Kurnell Village Festival

We know it’s technically November, but we’re counting Sunday 1st November as close enough to October to include this one. Marton Park will fill with food, markets, music and plenty of local faces as Kurnell Village Festival returns. Running from 10:00am to 4:00pm, entry is free to browse local makers and producers, work your way through the food stalls and catch live music and performances throughout the day. Add rides and activities for the kids into the mix, and there’ll be plenty happening from the moment the gates open.
