Meet We Are Loop, The Shire’s Free Clothing Collection Service

Clear out your wardrobe without the selling, sorting or charity-bin run

We Are Loop

We all have one. The bag of clothes sitting in the spare room, the washing basket destined for the donation bin or the collection that has been driving around in the boot for longer than we’d care to admit.

They’re still in good condition and far too good for the bin, but photographing, listing and posting each piece online can feel like an entire part-time job. That’s where We Are Loop enters the chat - the new contactless collection service making it easy to get those good-quality pieces out of your home and back in the loop.

The best part? It’s completely free.

The process couldn’t be simpler. Book a collection online in under 60 seconds, bag up your unwanted clothing and leave it outside your front door on the morning of collection. There’s no need to wait around or even be home.

There are no collection fees, hidden costs or complicated steps. Simply book online, pack your bags and leave the rest to the Loop team.

“Our whole business model is offering a solution to a problem that everyone has,” says We Are Loop co-founder Gabby.

The service is designed for good-quality, re-wearable clothing that still has plenty of life left in it, from fast-fashion finds to mid-range and more elevated brands.

Once collected, each item is taken back to the Loop warehouse to be sorted and graded, before suitable pieces are passed on to online resellers, market traders and secondhand stores to find a new home. The collection is completely free, with Loop handling the resale process separately once the clothing has been picked up.

There’s plenty of experience behind the concept, too. Gabby brings more than 12 years of experience in the secondhand clothing industry, while her co-founder and husband, Drew, has more than 25 years of experience, having previously run a similar model on a much larger scale in the UK. After relocating to Australia, the couple saw an opportunity to bring the service here and solve a very familiar problem for Shire households.

Beyond making wardrobe clear-outs easier, We Are Loop also helps keep good clothing in circulation and out of landfill. Pieces that are still in great condition are given the opportunity to be worn again, rather than sitting forgotten in a cupboard or being thrown away.

“We just keep good clothes in the loop, where people are going to wear them again,” says Gabby.

So, the next time a wardrobe clear-out leaves you surrounded by bags you have absolutely no intention of listing online, you now know what to do. Book the collection, place them at the front door and send them straight back into the Loop.
