Call Me Mamma Is Claiming Its Place In The Shire’s Foodie Scene

This elevated Italian restaurant is proving that it's a destination capable of standing on its own two feet

Call Me Mamma, Cronulla

Opening in May 2025, Parc Pavilion was the swanky new dining and entertainment precinct that took hold of the Shire. Comprising four distinct venues, the Pavilion promised to bring everything a foodie-driven individual could possibly long for, and then some. And from the casual Parc Bistro and luxe Mr Monro’s to the bright and breezy Terrace, it has certainly delivered.

Also within the Pavilion’s walls is a restaurant that brings people together over relaxed, delicious Italian food and signature cocktails. Namely, Call Me Mamma.

Swathed in Mediterranean style, the interiors are colourfully sophisticated, featuring upholstered booths, tiled tables, mood lighting and a wall full of kitschy (but stylish) artful finds. Spilling out from the main dining area is an outdoor terrace, which sits under curved panes of glass and feels like it's set among the treetops, but benefits from being fully undercover and weather-proof. Put simply, if aesthetic, Instagrammable venues are your jam, Call Me Mamma is a must.

But, of course, the hero of any restaurant should be its food - and Call Me Mamma is no exception. Boasting a big focus on cheese, some crowd pleasers include the Vannella Burrata served with autumn carrots and pickles, the House Ricotta with hot honey, lemon oil and sea salt, and the Stracciatella with semi-dried tomatoes, shallot oil, smoked almonds and parsley - and we highly recommend pairing any of the above with the oh-so-puffy House Bread.

True to its Italian roots, pizza and pasta form the foundations of the Mains section of the menu, with the recently-added Ricotta Gnocchi already becoming a firm favourite. Rotisserie and grill plates include a 350g Striploin and the much-loved 250g Pork Chop, served with beetroot marmellatta and fennel. Dessert is not to be missed (obviously!), and the Biscoff Ricotta Cheesecake and Tiramisu are must-trys.

If you’re a bottomless enthusiast, Call Me Mamma can deliver.

With a 2-hour time slot, guests are treated to three courses of the venue’s best share-style offerings, select cocktails, wine, sparkling and tap beer for just $129 per person.

Scout Tip: If you’re in the mood to turn things up a notch, order the roaming shot trolley straight to your table. It’s a bit of fun that takes the whole experience up a level.
