Aptly named, Greenhouse on Flora is a light-filled sanctuary exuding serene vibes. Providing a haven from the hustle and bustle of Sutherland’s busy retail strip, the cafe is a triple threat serving one helluva brew, a globally inspired menu and a tranquil, unhurried atmosphere.

Upon entering the space, you’re greeted with floor to ceiling windows and an influx of greenery. Pendant lighting suspended from the roof finishes off this chic cafe and adds to the mood. As for the coffee - expect the best of the best. Owners Paula and Pablo have put in the hard yards to develop a unique six bean coffee blend with an independent roaster. They have mastered their roasting technique, ensuring they get the most flavour out of each and every bean.

You can expect the same kind of love and attention to detail when it comes to the food. Think Dark Chocolate and Buttermilk Pancakes (with plenty of fun extras like sour cherry gelato, coconut caramel popcorn and rose dust), Turkish Eggs and Vegan Toast (so tasty!) Onto lunch, we loved it all! The Chicken Burger is jam-packed with flavour, the Salmon was perfectly cooked with delicious crispy skin and the Falafel Bowl was light, fresh and an easy go-to. The presentation of each dish will have you fighting the urge to whip out your phone and take some pics to pop on the gram. A move we fully condone, FYI. You’ll also find that the smallest visitors will be impressed by Greenhouse’s attention to detail with colouring stencils on the back of each kid’s menu.
