Rock Salt
Known for their contemporary Australian cuisine and relaxed vibes, Rocksalt Menai has one of the best (and most budget-friendly) set menus around. Available for groups of 10 or more, the set menu is based on your picks from their à la carte favourites. Mid-week – Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday nights, plus Friday lunch – enjoy two courses for $61 or three courses for $71 per person. On weekends – Friday and Saturday nights, Sunday lunch – it's $65 for two courses and $75 for three.
Eat Lebanese
A set menu is always a great option at a share-style joint such as Eat Lebanese. For $80 per person (or just $30 per person for those of your ‘people’ who are 12 and under), you and your dinnertime mates will be tucking into a series of dips, grilled meats and salads, with the option of adding on a sweet treat at the end (did someone say baklava?).
Jensens
If an expansive menu of entrees, mains, pizzas and desserts appeals, you’re probably already a big fan of Jensens in Kareela. If you just can’t pick a favourite dish and you’re eating with a group of 8 or more, take the guesswork out of ordering and opt for the set menu. For $70 per person for two courses, you can choose from a condensed version of their greatest hits of entrees, mains or desserts.
Giro Osteria

Salt Meats Cheese
Italian-inspired Salt Meats Cheese is a favourite among many and, ICYMI, their set menu comes in at just $50 per person for two courses and $65 for three. Buon appetito indeed.
Next Door
Lapping up some of the best views of any restaurant in the Shire, cafe-bar-restaurant hybrid Next Door sits perched next to the shoreline of North Cronulla Beach. Their set menu, Trust Thy Neighbour, is on offer for $80 per person and is all about shared plates and seasonal flair. Expect a lineup of dishes like prawn toast with sesame and shallot oil, burrata with oxheart tomato, and vadouvan spiced lamb shoulder with smoky eggplant and sheep’s labneh — all rounded out with house-made potato gnocchi, broccolini, and a fresh Greek salad.
Sealevel
Sealevel has a reputation as one of the Shire’s most bougie restaurants, so it may come as a surprise that they made their way onto this list! Their two course mid-week set menu comes in at $75 per person and you can choose from entrees like crispy sumac squid or barbecued Queensland king prawns and mains like pancetta & leek stuffed chicken breast, or char-grilled Darling Downs beef fillet. The icing on the cake? They offer BYO seven days a week for both lunch and dinner, making it even more appealing in our books.
Pippis
Perched on the edge of Gunnamatta Bay, Pippis is serving up serious Mediterranean vibes with their $70 set menu (for groups of 8+). It kicks off with a round of antipasti — think house-made focaccia, olives, stracciatella and crispy calamari — before moving into pasta and mains of your choice. Oh, and it’s BYO — which makes it even better.
Hazel
Tucked inside Hazelhurst Arts Centre, Hazel is a hidden gem serving up seasonal dishes in the dreamiest garden setting. Their $55 per person Chef’s Shared Menu (for groups of 14+) is made for long lunches with friends — with bites like panisse and stracciatella to start and mains like roast chicken with tarragon jus or lamb backstrap. Add salt and vinegar fries on the side and you’re in for a good time.
Alphabet Street
Known for their awesome selection of Asian-fusion-inspired dishes — and the famous Apple Martini, of course — Alphabet Street’s set menu is a must. Whilst it’s only slightly over our $80 per person budget coming in at $82, this set menu features the Alphabet St favourites we all know and love. Think betal leaf with grilled prawn, five spice squid and massaman beef curry to name a few.
